Origin Of Salwar Kameez
It is said that Salwar Kameez are originally from the Mongols. The Mughal were said to be the first to wear Salwar Kameez. During the 12th century Salwar Kameez was considered to be the authentic wear of Islamic people. Slowly, over the centuries with slight difference it became the most comfortable wear for every woman in India. It is also considered to be the most traditional wear of Indians. Both men and women wear salwar kameez.
Salwar Kameez is the most elegant and beautiful Indian cloth providing comfort and ease. It can be worn as a casual, formal, and even as an occasional wear. Punjabi Style: As the name implies it is said to be the Punjabi traditional wear. These suits normally have a kameez with vibrant colors with more of embroidery or gotta work on it. The salwar will be very loose Patiala type and a dupata or odni on the top.
Patiala Style: This is the similar pattern of Punjabi style. Patiala is the name of a state where the Maharaja's use to wear these as their royal costumes. It has the long bottoms and the long suits on the top.
Churdiar: This has a slight difference from both Punjabi and Patiala style. The bottom will be tight fitting sleek and the top kameez that would wrinkle around the ankle. The above knee kameez are now becoming the latest trend among the youth.
Designer Salwar: These are nothing but the heavy work on it with the fabric like georgette, synthetic and silk clothes. Normally these salwars are made by the fashion designers who try to blend the traditional and modern styles to the attire and bring out a new fashionable wear.
Afghani style: This is also the same as kurtha pyjamas. The three piece of cloth same as the salwar kameez and odni is the afgani style.
Indo-Western Style:This is the combination of Indian and western style together. Kameez and the tight leggings is one type of Indo-western style. Now a days, the trend of mix and match are very common among the youngsters. They often choose the contrast color combination of kameez and salwar.These different ranges of styles are now available in almost all corner of the world.
